NOISE ATLAS

Our own website: design and development described in points. Images, services and the process are drawn as fields of marks that answer the cursor and the finger — on canvas, with no 3D library behind them.

A website made of noise

The name is the brief. Every project starts as noise — ambition, context and constraints that do not agree yet — and the work is giving it a direction. The site says that literally instead of saying it in a slogan.

The home page turns an image into a field of points. The four services settle into a square, a diamond, a ring and a triangle as you read them, and on the About page the scattered points of the process assemble into the product step by step.

Motion only when something happens

Every effect answers a real state. Filter the archive and the cards that leave break into dithered dots and sweep away, the cards that stay slide to their new places, and the ones that return assemble from dots before the real card fades in.

The cursor leaves a wake across the card grid, a finger stirs the point fields on a phone, and under reduced motion all of it stops — not paused, but no longer drawn at all.

Drawn by hand, on canvas

There is no 3D library and no animation framework underneath. The point fields, the dissolve and the pointer wake are our own Canvas 2D renderers, drawn only near the viewport; the dissolve allocates its full-screen bitmap only while it runs, and a phone never builds the mouse layers it could not use.

One source for everything

Projects, services, questions and the privacy policy live in typed content files. The same pages serve English and Russian, and the metadata, share images and structured data are generated from that content rather than written beside it, so none of them can drift from what the page says.
