WebGL, streaming and creative technology

Alongside commissioned work, we maintain an ongoing collection of interactive experiments, technical prototypes and independent digital projects.

These smaller explorations are not presented as individual case studies. Together, however, they represent an important part of our work: a space for testing new interaction patterns, rendering techniques and ways of combining technology with visual ideas.

Experiments in interaction

The collection ranges from WebGL environments, procedural graphics and real-time 3D scenes to custom media players, streaming interfaces, interactive maps and audio-driven experiences.

Some experiments reinterpret interaction and motion concepts introduced by companies such as Apple and OpenAI. Others explore shaders, particle systems, generative forms, physics, spatial interfaces and unconventional approaches to navigation.

The archive also includes collaborations with artists and designers, rapid technical studies and non-commercial projects created simply to investigate an interesting visual idea.

Among them: a real-time transit map of Berlin with its trams and trains in 3D, a heatmap take on an Apple event, a ChatGPT-style orb, a CT-scanned turntable, a music sampler and a sequencer, differential growth, a flower garden of particles that answers the cursor, and a photograph turned into a point cloud.

Research through making

These experiments allow us to evaluate technologies outside the constraints of a full commercial product. Complex ideas can be prototyped quickly, tested directly in the browser and developed into reusable components, rendering approaches and interaction patterns.

What begins as a small visual study often becomes practical knowledge for future client work — from performance optimization and responsive 3D to real-time media, animation systems and interaction design.

Interactive Lab is a continuously evolving record of that process.
