The interactive 3D model on the K5 website: the future Moscow Kremlin Museums building, inside the restored Middle Trading Rows on Red Square, explored in the browser.

K5 is the new building of the Moscow Kremlin Museums, planned inside the restored Middle Trading Rows on Red Square. Its website tells the story of the project in editorial chapters.
Our part was the one chapter you can hold: the interactive 3D model on the main page.
The museum sits inside its real surroundings, so its scale and location read at a glance. Visitors turn the building, switch between the historical rows, the new museum and its dome, and pick out architectural elements highlighted in the scene — the model works as a map of the project rather than an illustration of it.
The scene runs on Three.js and React Three Fiber around an optimised GLB model, with custom materials, lighting, shadows and a guided camera styled to match the rest of the site.
It answers the mouse and the finger alike, and it was delivered as a standalone module that dropped into the existing platform without rebuilding it.
